“HGO has given me the chance to follow my dream to sing in opera houses as a soloist. Without HGO this would never have happened. Thank you to every member of the HGO family!”

BECOMING A FRIEND REASONS TO JOIN HGO
Without the support of our Friends, HGO could not continue – if you want to support our mission: Advancing Young Singers please join us.
The principal benefit enjoyed by our Friends is the Friends Rehearsal. All Friends are invited, in the run-up to each opera, to a rehearsal followed by the Chairman’s Reception. You can observe both casts in rehearsal with contributions from production director and music director. Then, at a catered reception, meet the directors and the singers. These are always most enjoyable occasions.
- Invitation to Friends Rehearsal & Chairman’s Reception
- Priority booking period
- News about all HGO activity
- Satisfaction in supporting young singers
- Reserved seating for Archangel and Hierarch supporters
Your support will make all the difference. We are a charity run by volunteers, with no paid staff and no premises. Over 98% of money given goes into our productions. Through more than thirty years, HGO has grown into a highly regarded opera training company offering high quality enjoyment to its audiences, while Advancing Young Singers.

“HGO offers a fantastic chance to develop as an opera performer: to improve one’s stagecraft and musicianship; to perform with an orchestra; to experience the pacing of a full run of shows; to be seen in performance by critics and potential future employers; and more…”
“HGO’s production teams are drawn from the professional operatic world and, having worked in prestigious opera houses themselves, never fail to create exciting and imaginative productions for their singers.”
“HGO’s reputation has grown considerably … attracting interest from opera critics and casting agents from many of the UK’s top opera companies. I can’t thank HGO enough for their support in my professional development.”
