
Solveig Neseth is a coloratura soprano hailing from Stillwater, Minnesota. She has performed the roles of Yvette in La Rondine, La Fée in Cendrillon, and Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor. Solveig also has extensive experience in contemporary opera, performing in regional premieres of Michael Daugherty’s Jackie O and Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters as Liz Taylor and Lucinda, respectively, as well as performing the lead role of Rosa Carini in the world premiere of Thomas Pasitieri’s The Vaudevillian. As a soprano soloist, Solveig has performed in such concert works as Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Thomas Dubois’ Seven Last Words, Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, and George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. Most recently, she was seen performing the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor with Painted Sky Opera in Oklahoma City and as Despina in Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra’s production of Così fan tutte in Chicago.
