Born in Piraeus, Greece, Sofia Alexiadou studied Italian Language and Literature. She continued with postgraduate studies (MA) at the Faculty of Theatre Studies (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), where currently she is a PhD candidate. During 2009/11 she worked as an assistant to the Greek LD Lefteris Pavlopoulos. She has designed lights for more than 130 performances across different genres. Sofia is a Programme Director for the BA (Hons) Creative Lighting Control and the MA Light in Performance courses at Rose Bruford College.
