Katey Rylands is an English mezzo-soprano who finished her education at the Royal Academy of Music in July 2023. Since graduating from RAM Katey has been a member of Opera Holland Park’s 2024 chorus in their productions of Leoncavallo’s opera Pagliacci and Gilbert & Sullivan’s opera Yeomen of the Guard. Recent performances include singing in the chorus for Gothic Opera’s Halloween production of Donizetti’s Maria de Rudenz and HGO’s Eugene Onegin where she had the opportunity to sing the role of Olga. When not involved in Opera productions, Katey enjoys performing in concerts with the Philharmonia Chorus and singing as a alto soloist for choral societies as a former Josephine Baker Trust scholar.
