Mezzo-soprano Hannah Morley is about to complete her studies for an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal and Operatic Performance at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She studies with Louise Crane and is generously supported by the Conservatoire’s Scholarship Scheme. She is a Britten Pears Young Artist (2024-2025), a Leeds Lieder Young Artist (2022), and an Emerging Artist for Clonter Opera Theatre (2022). Hannah is the winner of several prizes including, The Edward Brooks English Song Prize, The Edward Brooks Lieder Prize, The Stuart Cameron-Smith French Song Prize, The Elizabeth Rollason Award, The Ashleyan Opera Prize The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Singing Prize and The Gil Rodriguez Scholarship award (Opéra de Baugé).
Notable operatic roles include The Gingerbread Witch in Hansel and Gretel (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire), Madame de la Haltière in Cendrillon (RBC). Mercédès in Carmen (St.Pauls Opera), The Book of Fate/Old Woman in Dove’s The Enchanted Pig (RBC), Marthe Schwerlein Faust (Arcadian Opera), and Madge Williams in Stephen Mcneff’s Banished (RBC).
