Romanian bass baritone Gheorghe Palcu graduated from the Music Conservatoire “Jacopo Tomadini”, Udine, Italy and is now completing the second year of a Master at the CSM Cork in Ireland. Gheorghe’s repertoire spans from the baroque era through to Verdi opera . Highlights include Armida ( Arcola Theatre) , L’Incoronazione di Poppea ( Cockpit ) ,
Don Giovanni (Hastings, London) , Marriage of Figaro ( Deva, Hastings, Thessaloniki) and others. Gheorghe sung the role of Don Alfonso (Cosi fan tutte) for the Bergerdorf Music Festival and for the Birgitta Tahlin Festival. He is member of the OrQuesta Ensemble and recently he performed at the Arcola Theatre the role of Seneca ( Poppea). Gheorghe was awarded 2nd Prize bass soloist at the Feis Ceoil competition in 2022, Dublin.
