
Emily Brown Gibson is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music and studies with Mary Plazas. Previous credits include: Violante in Paisiello’s La Frascatana, Venus in Weldon’s The Judgment of Paris, Bellina in Cimarosa’s Le astuzie femminili, Barbarina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Elisetta in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto, Romilda in Handel’s Serse, Grilletta in Haydn’s Lo speziale, and Galatea in Handel’s Acis and Galatea. Emily has a keen interest in contemporary music, and recently premiered the role of Daughter in Kerrin Tatmen’s, Requiem for a Fading World at SageGateshead, which is planning to go on tour this summer. In 2022, Emily made her Wigmore Hall debut while working with composer Anna Þorvaldsdóttir. Other contemporary credits include: Hans Abrahamsen’s Let me tell you, Michael Gordon’s Van Gogh, and Steve Reich’s The Cave.
