
Australian baritone Allyn Wu is currently pursuing postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music, supported by a generous scholarship, where he continues to display his exceptional vocal talent across a diverse repertoire, spanning early to contemporary music. His recent notable roles include Purcell’s The Fairy Queen with HGO, Christus in Bach’s St John Passion with the Brandenburg Baroque Soloists, and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte as part of the RAM Vocal Faculty scenes. Allyn has refined his artistry through masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Dame Emma Kirkby, Nicky Spence, Mark Padmore, and Iestyn Davies. He is also a key participant in the Academy’s Bach in Leipzig series, both as a soloist and chorus member, collaborating with world-renowned conductors Masaaki Suzuki, John Butt, and Dame Jane Glover. His broad range extends beyond solo work to include roles in Royal Academy Opera productions and performances with renowned ensembles including Academy of Ancient Music, The Sixteen, and Oxford Bach Soloists.
