Siân Roberts is a 24 year old soprano from North Wales. She trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) with soprano Amanda Roocroft, with whom she continues to learn. Siân completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at RBC, graduating in 2022.
In July 2023, Sian performed as a bridesmaid and chorus member in West Green House Opera’s production of The Marriage of Figaro. In June 2022, She performed in a double bill of Rameau operas in Normandy, where she performed as the Statue in Pygmalion, and as Argienne in Nelée et Myrthis. Siân was also heavily involved in many productions during her time at RBC. Most recently she sang as Winnie in RBC’s production of Banished by Stephen McNeff, her favourite role during her time at RBC.
Prior to this, she performed the title role in RBC’s production of Mark Anthony Turnage’s Coraline, she performed Maria Bertram in Mansfield Park, and second boy in The Magic Flute. She also performed many roles in RBC’s annual opera scenes, and performed as a chorus member in other RBC productions. Siân is excited to be performing with HGO this year and hopes to keep performing lots now she has graduated!
