Ruben Cameiro
Ruben Cameiro, born in 1996 in Portugal, began his journey as a dancer at an early age, in Portuguese folk and classical ballet, passing through modern dance, jazz, and contemporary dance. He then studied fine arts, theatre and acting. Encountering the Japanese technique of Butoh he developed a project where Butoh, dance theatre and Portuguese history mingle around the ’74 revolution in Portugal. Still in Portugal, he wrote his first play, L’homme est né naïf. In 2018 he moved to London where he collaborates with the artists Rossana and Paulo Madureira.In 2021, he participated as a costume
designer and visual director in Rossana’s project, based on Portuguese music.
