Nikki Martin is a graduate of the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she has performed the roles of Monica (The Medium), Cendrillon (Cendrillon), and Ilia (Idomeneo), and was winner of the Ye Cronies Opera Award competition. She also performed the roles of Female Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia), Kitty (Dead Man Walking), Soeur Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Atalanta (Serse), in RCS’s opera scenes.
Recently, she has performed within Scottish Opera’s La Bohème as a chorus member, as well as the role of Jou-Jou (The Merry Widow) with their new production and tour in collaboration with Opera Holland Park and The D’Oyly Carte Opera Company. Nikki covered the role of Sally Hughes (A Matter of Misconduct!) in Toby Hession and Emma Jenkins’ newly commissioned opera, also in collaboration with Opera Holland Park. Nikki is excited to have a role debut with HGO and to have the opportunity to perform with a fantastic cast and crew.
