Maximilian Catalano is a British-Italian baritone studying for a Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of David Pollard.
Having completed a degree in International Relations and Politics at Cardiff University, he decided to pursue a career in classical singing. Since then, Max has made his operatic debut as Schaunard in Aylesbury Opera’s La Bohème. He has gone on to perform in the chorus of Götterdämmerung with both the London Opera Company and Regent Opera, followed by Opera Holland Park’s The Flying Dutchman. Last summer, Max participated in the Waterperry Opera Festival and the SongEasel Young Artist Programme.
In 2024, Max had the honour of performing in the Indian debut of Haydn’s The Creation as Raffael and Adam. As a singer supported by the Josephine Baker Trust, Max regularly performs with choral societies.
