Bass Baritone Jacob Bettinelli made his debut at Grange Park Opera this summer, performing the role of Pinellino in Gianni Schicchi alongside Sir Bryn Terfel. Other 22/23 operatic appearances include Alessio and covering Count Rodolfo in La sonnambula at Buxton International Festival, Ford (Sir John in Love) with British Youth Opera, Claudio (Agrippina) with HGO, Mandarin (Turandot), Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte), Escamillo (Carmen), Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola) and Rudolf (Der Wald). A Britten Pears Young Artist and recent graduate of the Wales International Academy of Voice. Jacob is supported vocally through the National Opera Studio’s Diverse Voices Programme. He first trained as a lyric baritone at the Royal College of Music, where he received his Master of Performance
and Bachelor of Music degrees. This winter, Jacob looks forward to performing Marco (Gianni Schicchi) with Musica Viva in Hong Kong.
