Francesca Pringle is a soprano Currently, she is a Masters student at the Royal Academy of Music and studies under the tutelage of the renowned Soprano Nuccia Focile and coach Janet Haney.
Since being at the Academy, she has developed a passion for Italian opera and has begun to explore the role of Mimí from La Boheme, recently performing the role in the Academy’s Vocal Faculty Opera Scenes. She continues to enjoy and explore lesser-known lieder working closely alongside her mentor – Richard Stokes. Last summer, Cess made her professional debut as ‘Cobweb’ in Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ at the Grange Festival. She was extremely grateful to be supported by the Seawall Trust during this production.
Cess has a great desire to bring music to the community, and has been involved with the RAM Open Academy Outreach programme. She has been a regular performer for the “Music for the Moment” series and also delved into being a Workshop Leader on the “Raise Your Voice” project, in collaboration with Glyndebourne. Her favourite among these moments include the ‘Singing with friends’ project at the Wigmore Hall, aimed at helping those living with Dementia – which she found incredibly rewarding.
In May 2021, Cess studied for and was awarded the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM). She hopes to use this qualification to enhance and further her teaching career.
