Emily Kyte

Emily Kyte trained on the opera course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and on ENO OperaWorks.  Recent roles include Owl, and Fox (cover) in The Cunning Little Vixen for Longborough Festival Opera, Ruggiero in Alcina at the Grimeborn Festival and Dema in L’Egisto for HGO.  Other roles include Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) Opera på Skäret, Edith (The Pirates of Penzance) Merry Opera, The King (The Queen’s Lace Handkerchief) Opera della Luna, and Idamante (cover) (Idomeneo) English Touring Opera.  Emily was a soloist for Tarantara, a gala performance of the works of Gilbert & Sullivan at the Chichester Festival Theatre conducted by Martin Handley.  She was a soloist for Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri with the LSO, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, and for Handel’s Utrecht Te Deum and Utrecht Jubilate with the English Chamber Orchestra.  She has also sung as a soloist at Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall and Barbican Hall.
