Belgian soprano Astrid Joos has a repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. Recently performed roles include Barbarina, Susanna, Pamina and Serpetta (La finta giardinera)(Mozart) as well as Adina (Donizetti), Climene (Cavalli) and Woglinde (Wagner). In March 2023 Astrid made her debut with the Dutch National Opera as part of their Talent Chorus for the world premiere of Raskatov’s new opera ‘Animal Farm’. A recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Astrid is based in London as well as Belgium, where she attended the International Opera Academy. Having performed with HGO before as Climene and Barbarina, Astrid is thrilled to work with them again and, morevoer, in an opera by her favorite composer.
