La sonnambula
Opera semiseria by Vincenzo Bellini

An opera full of love, jealousy, misunderstandings and peril — and, unusually, nobody dies!
Bellini’s La sonnambula is one of opera’s most enchanting works: a tender, luminous story of love and reconciliation, carried by some of the most beautiful writing of the bel canto repertoire. Our new production, directed by John Wilkie, and conducted by Stefano Boccacci, brings fresh theatrical and musical perspectives to Bellini’s extraordinary score. And, as usual, we have amazing casts!
At once intimate, playful and deeply moving, La sonnambula explores how quickly trust can be lost — and the extraordinary power of love when it is restored.
