Quito Clothier is a tenor from Hampshire, England, currently working in London. He studied at the University of Bristol, where he obtained a first-class Bachelors degree in Music studying under Angela Hickey. Quito spent three years singing with the Choir of St. Luke’s, Chelsea under the direction of Jeremy Summerly and is now both a choral scholar for Goldsmith’s Choral Union and at St. James’s Church, Piccadilly. Quito now studies under Patricia Rozario, Vocal Studies and Repertoire professor at the Royal College of Music. Operatic roles include Satyavan in Holst’s Savitri, The Schoolmaster in Janáček’s Cunning Little Vixen and recently Ismaele in Verdi’s Nabucco. He has been a soloist on BBC Radio 3’s Choral Evensong and in recital has performed Haydn’s Creation, Handel’s Messiah, Faure’s Requiem, Mozart’s C Minor Mass, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle.
