Issy Bridgeman
Welsh soprano Issy Bridgeman graduated with distinction from the RCM with a Masters in Vocal Performance in 2021, having previously completed her undergraduate degree there. Throughout her six years of study, she worked with Amanda Roocroft, and was coached by Gary Matthewman, Simon Lepper, Caroline Dowdle, and Andrew Robinson
Issy made her professional singing debut in 2019 with the English National Opera, playing the role of ‘Gossip’ in their production of Noye’s Fludde. During her studies Issy performed the roles of Belinda & the Second Witch (Dido & Aeneas), and was a member of the chorus in the RCM production of Robinson Crusoe. During several Opera Scenes productions at the RCM, she has sung the roles of Despina (Così fan tutte), Constance (Dialogues des Carmélites), Atalanta (Atalanta) and Frasquita (Carmen). Prior to graduating, she also had the pleasure of participating in a Masterclass with Dame Ann Murray.
Issy hopes to pursue a career in operatic and song repertoire. Meanwhile, she is passionate about working with children and is an assistant with Penge Junior Voices.
