Welsh soprano Erin Gwyn Rossington is studying with Susan Waters, having previously gained a 1st class honours at the RNCM in 2019, and completed the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama this summer. In 2019, she won International Voice of the Future at Llangollen Eisteddfod, the prestigious Elizabeth Harwood Memorial Prize at the RNCM and the Audience prize at the Clonter Opera Prize 2022. Her opera roles include; Rosalinde, Contessa, Micaëla and Marguerite. Erin performed Maguelonne in GSMD’s production of Viardot’s Cendrillon in 2021 and the title role in Judith Weir’s Miss Fortune this spring and the Falsche Angéle in Weill’s Der Zar lässt sich photographieren at GSMD in June. She was thrilled to make her debut at the Aldeburgh Festival as Ina in TIDE, and as Lady Billows in Albert Herring for Clonter Opera. Erin is one of four daughters, brought up on her family farm in North Wales.
