Arina Mkrtchian is an Armenian-Russian mezzo-soprano who graduated from the David Seligman Opera School in 2023. Recent engagements included performing the role of Flora La Traviata with The St Albans Chamber Opera Company (March 2024), being a mezzo soloist for Mozart’s “Requiem” with The Weston Choral Society (May 2024) and coaching The Grange Park Opera for their performances of Rachmaninoff’s Aleko with Sir Bryn Terfel in the title role (April-June 2024). Recent engagements as a soloist include covering the role of Emmy for Gothic Opera’s production of Der Vampyr by Heinrich Marschner (August 2024) She will also be performing the role of Flora in La Traviata with Hertfordshire Opera (February 2025). Additionally, Arina is very excited to be working as a Russian Language coach with The London Philharmonic Choir for their performances of Rachmaninoff’s The Bells and Shostakovich’s Babi Yar (September-November 2024). Currently, Arina is studying with Dr Adriana Festeu and is a music teacher at Sing Education and Miele Canto.
