Soprano Luci Briginshaw was the winner of the 2021 Fulham Opera Verdi Prize and Audience Prize, and in 2019 she took Audience Prize and Second Prize at the inaugural Opera: By Voice Alone competition.

Recent engagements include Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute for Wild Arts, Contessa di Folleville in Il Viaggio a Reims and The Queen of Shemakha in The Golden Cockerel for English Touring Opera, and the title role in Mozart’s Constanze for West Green Opera. Previously, Luci has sung Fennimore in Weill’s Der Silbersee, and the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience (ETO), Aithra in Richard Strauss’ Die Ægyptische Helena (Fulham Opera) and Marietta in Die
Tote Stadt (Longborough Festival). She has covered Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare, Konstanze in The Seraglio and Mimi in La Bohème for ETO, as well as The Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute for Glyndebourne. In 2026, Luci will sing Gilda for Regents Opera’s new production of Rigoletto.

Other roles include Violetta (La Traviata), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia), Leila (Les pêcheurs de perle): and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) which she sang for HGO in 2015. She has also created several opera roles in contemporary works by Martyn Harry, Alex Groves and Mario Ferraro. Luci’s debut album, Peter Warlock Songbook, with pianist Eleanor Meynell was released in 2021 on the Convivium label.
