A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Wendy Silvester‘s training and performances have since taken her across the UK, and into Europe and the United States. Wendy has received scholarships to further her training, including for Utah Vocal Arts Academy Dramatic Voices Program in 2019, where she also performed the role of Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte on the mainstage, and for New York Dramatic Voices, in 2020, where her roles included Roßweiße (Die Walküre), and excerpts of Ježibaba (Rusalka).
Other recent performance highlights include the role of Fenena in Nabucco for both St Paul’s Opera and Uncovered Opera, Klytämnestra in an online production of Elektra with Dramatic Voices Program Berlin, and, most recently, singing Waltraute and covering Fricka at the Wagner in Vermont festival with Tundi Productions.
Wendy was awarded the Bayreuth Bursary by The Wagner Society UK in 2020, and in 2022 she was a finalist in the Mastersingers UK Wagner Vocal Competition for young Wagnerian singers.
