Seb Gillot is a conductor and keyboard player specialising in early repertories. A multiple prize-winner at FRCO and Silver Medallist of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, he is in demand as a continuo player and accompanist for a number of ensembles including The Hanover Band, Eboracum Baroque and the Hampstead Collective. He is also Organist and Director of Music of St Mary Magdalene, Richmond and accompanist for Kingston Orpheus Choir. He is a founder member of Endelienta Baroque, a period-instrument ensemble performing a wide variety of baroque music and delivering educational projects up and down the country. In Autumn 2023 the ensemble embarked on Earthsong: a tour of concerts centred around Handel’s Neun Deutsche Arien and two new commissions by composer Alice Beckwith. This was supported by a schools project involving workshops comprising music, movement, and song-writing.
Seb was Music Director for HGO’s 2022 production of Venus & Adonis/Dido & Aeneas (2022) When not in front of a keyboard or a choir, Seb spends his time outdoors running, learning Welsh, and making rudimentary, generally unsuccessful attempts at green woodworking.
