Winner of the 1997 Leonardo Da Vinci Award, Rich Gittins won a scholarship to train as an actor and stage combatant at the Tsagas Theatre in Athens. He has since gone on to fight direct and perform for film, tv and theatre. His fight directing credits include; Christof Loy’s Les vêpres siciliennes – Dutch National Opera/Grande Theatre Geneva, La Forza Del Destino – Royal Ballet and Opera, Elektra – Royal Ballet and Opera, Armino – Linbury Theatre and Full Moon in March/Larmes de Couteau – Linbury Theatre. Rich is also the stage combat coach for the RBO’s Jette Parker Programme.
