Baritone Oliver Heuzenroeder is in his first year of Royal Academy Opera, studying with Mark Wildman and Jonathan Papp. He previously completed his undergraduate studies at the
Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and his master’s degree and LRAM at the Academy. His studies are supported by the Carr-Gregory Trust, the Help Musicians Sybil Tutton
Opera Award and the Josephine Baker Trust. Oliver’s opera appearances include Dancaïre in Carmen, Onegin in Eugene Onegin, Ned Keene in Peter Grimes with British Youth Opera, Count
Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Marcello in La bohème and Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia. In May, he will sing the role of Tarquinius for Academy’s production of The Rape of Lucretia. He is a member of the Academy’s Song Circle, has appeared in several recitals and masterclasses at Wigmore Hall and the Austrian Cultural Forum and will make his European debut as a soloist in
Bach’s St John Passion in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 2026. Oliver is a former Melba Opera Trust Artist and an alum of the Georg Solti Accademia.
