Soprano Nicola Said is a Malta Airport Foundation Ambassador and BOV Joseph Calleja Scholar. Having recently sung Musetta La Bohème (Gaulitana Festival), Nicola made her English National Opera debut as Soprano Angel in It’s a Wonderful Life (cover performance). Operatic roles include Violetta, Mimì, Lucia, Frasquita, Adina, and Zerlina. A keen recitalist, Nicola has performed with Malcolm Martineau and James Baillieu in The Three Palaces Festival concerts, and “Songs of a Fairy-Tale Princess” with Maya Irgalina (Oxford Festival of the Arts). A graduate of the Guildhall School, she has performed in top venues including Cadogan Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Barbican Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, Royal Opera House, Kensington Palace, St. James’s Palace, and Spencer House. She has recorded at Abbey Road Studios with Commonwealth Orchestra and has given recitals for HRH The Princess Royal and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Nicola is Founder and Artistic Director of Malta Opera.
