Myrna Tennant, originally from the Netherlands, is now based in London. She is a graduate of the GSMD (MPerf Distinction) and the RCS (BMus Hons 1st class). Having initially trained and worked as a soprano, Myrna made the shift to Zwischenfach mezzosoprano in 2023, and as a result has performed a wide and varied range of repertoire. Opera highlights include the title role in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), and Dido (Dido and Aeneas). Recently, Myrna performed the small role of ‘Employee’ alongside being a chorus member for ‘Gods of the Game’, a newly commissioned work for Sky Arts with Grange Park Opera. Myrna has been a soloist in works including Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music and regularly performs as a recitalist across the UK. She is thrilled to be a Britten Pears Young Artist for 2023-24, as well as a BYO Serena Fenwick Young Artist
