
British-Irish baritone Michael Roche recently completed a Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music under the guidance of Tim Evans-Jones. He has worked with among others Nicky Spence, Iain Burnside, and Bryn Terfel. Previous highlights for Michael include Chorus (Le Fille du Régiment, Aleko, Grange Park Opera, 2024), Pontius Pilate (The Pilgrims Progress, British Youth Opera), Chorus (Götterdämmerung, Longborough Festival Opera), Escamillo (Carmen, Cardiff University Opera Society), Barzilai (King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, Bath Festival of Learning), Mars (Orpheus in the Underworld, RCM Opera Studio), Maître D/Chorus (The Merry Widow, RCM Opera Studio). Michael has performed roles such as Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Le Podestat (Le Docteur Miracle), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Father (Two Boys) in RCM’s Opera Scenes productions. Concert highlights as a soloist include Ein Deutsche Requiem (Brahms, The Lea Singers), and Leipzig at Christmas (Bach and Telemann, Collegium Laureatum).
