British tenor Matthew Curtis recently performed as the tenor soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at the Regency Club and earlier this year performed with the Leamington Sinfonia in La Bohème highlights. He also sang in the Glyndebourne chorus for their Autumn season (L’Elisir d’Amore, Don Giovanni). Other engagements include roles in The Pilgrim’s Progress at the Three Choirs Festival with British Youth Opera, and Chorus in La Cenerentola with Nevill Holt Opera. He has also performed as Fintan O’Riordan in Bloody Murder for Opera Workshop Limerick, in Dido and Aeneas and La Rondine for IF Opera, and as Bill in Flight with the Royal College of Music Opera Studio. Additional work includes chorus roles in Silent Night for Opera North and Eugene Onegin at the Buxton International Opera Festival. Matthew graduated with honors from the Royal Northern College of Music and later earned a Master’s from the Royal College of Music as an H.R. Taylor Trust scholar.
