
Dumisa Masoka is a 26 year old South African tenor, born and raised in a small rural area in Khayelitsha in Cape Town. He holds a Diploma in Music performance (Specializing in Opera) from the University of Cape Town College of Music under the guidance of Sipho Fubesi, and just finished his 2nd year Postgraduate Diploma in Music performance (specializing in Opera), he expects to graduate in March 2025. As a member of various choruses, he had the opportunity to perform in numerous productions as chorus, including ‘Don Pasquale’, ‘I Capuletti ed i Montecchi’, and ‘Alcina’. His roles include Elimelek (‘Dalinda’), Giuseppe (‘La Traviata’), Bertrando (‘L’inganno felice’) and Peter Quint (‘Turn of the Screw’). Dumisa has also had the privilege of participating in masterclasses led by renowned artists Levy Sekgapane and Sunnyboy Dladla, further refining his craft.
